ABOUT THE CARNIVAL COMMITTEE

Welcome

Skegness Carnival Committee arrange various events throughout the year, there are several Gala days which we hold on behalf of various charities – we organise the events, from dates to health & safety to erecting stalls to liaising with local authorities etc.

This is all done voluntarily to give the charities a platform, we get our fundraising through the famous Carnival barbeques which are always held at these events.

We hold the Carnival Queen competition, where the Queen and 2 princesses are chosen for the years events. Carnival week is the highlight, with events such as: The Carnival Parade, Family Fun Day, Pavement Art Competition, Sandcastle Competition, Tower Gardens Gala, 999 Day, Fire Brigade Gala, Children’s Disco, Pet Show and Gala. All of these events are free to the public and information regarding dates and times is available in the events section.

Skegness Carnival Committee consists of loyal, hard-working, volunteers who work tirelessly all year round to bring residents and visitors alike some of the best enjoyed events in Skegness’ social calendar.

We need new bodies on the committee to help organize these events, if you think you have something to offer or are just interested in seeing what is involved please don’t hesitate to contact us for meeting dates.
